" I create my best work, when I am in a calm mindful flow and that energy often gets transferred onto the canvass when paint - a process that gives me so much nourishment and energy. I want the viewer to be filled with the same peacefulness I feel when I paint. My main aim is create healing art which create a sense of resilience and hope. Thus, my landscape paintings often have a deeper more embodied meaning which is appreciated by my art collectors. I often capture divine light that of sun breaking through clouds instance as this can make as feel more connected to a larger power and this feel more at ease due to its ability to reignite our inner energy spark. My inspirations comes from walking and exploring the surrounding hills of the Scottish highlands and the. I am also very keen to capture that relaxing movement of the ocean waves one of my main explored themes in my current seascapes." Her art evokes both strong feelings a sense of soulful connected-ness to her audience. It also adds a beautiful colorful stunning focal point in any luxury home whether its a reception room, office or a lush bedroom.
"I love capturing a sense of calm or the sense of flow found in the ocean especially its constant sense of movement and flow when the waves roll in. The nourishment and sense of being in the moment and we gain from being in nature is at the core of my contemporary art work. My life has been very challenging one, thus my other passion is therapy and healing. My art and spiritual journey has been heavily interwoven with my interest and experience of mindfulness and Taoism. For example nature teaches us this sense of going with the flow, that things always change and are constantly shifting. In our darkest moments that truth can give a lot of hope and energy.
If you learn to be in the flow it is the best space to be for your inner well-being but also for creating art."
Through the years of following various teachers she has honed her unique blend of mixed media art style with varied themes of landscape and figurative often soulful art. Karina loves capturing the beauty of nature and evoking a sense calm peacefulness found with nature and its energy, which can often be perceived as deeply nurturing for her audience.
